The Hashtag Brasil Institute is a non-governmental organization that works to promote social justice through art and Brazilian popular culture. Our purpose is clear and urgent: to combat racism and violence against women in Brazil.
We believe in the transformative power of art as a tool for welcoming, resisting and strengthening identities. Therefore, we develop and advocate for sociocultural projects that value Brazilian roots and promote educational, training and artistic actions aimed especially at women in vulnerable situations, black people and peripheral communities.
Our work is built on listening, collectivity and a commitment to a more fair, diverse and inclusive society. Here, culture is activism, art is a tool for change and each project is a step towards the social transformation we want to see in the world.

Acreditamos no poder transformador da arte como ferramenta de acolhimento, resistência e fortalecimento das identidades. Por isso, desenvolvemos e pleiteamos projetos socioculturais que valorizam as raízes brasileiras e promovem ações educativas, formativas e artísticas voltadas especialmente para mulheres em situação de vulnerabilidade, pessoas negras e comunidades periféricas.
Nosso trabalho é construído com base na escuta, na coletividade e no compromisso com uma sociedade mais justa, diversa e inclusiva. Aqui, cultura é militância, arte é ferramenta de mudança e cada projeto é um passo rumo à transformação social que desejamos ver no mundo.

PROJETO RAP COMBATE
Rap Combate surge através de um projeto embrionário criado na Casa de Hip-Hop Centro, na região central da Cidade de São Paulo, no Brasil, no ano de 2012( Dois mil e doze), chamado de “ Rap Combate!” que é o primeiro projeto educacional de RAP e, JIU-JITSU no Brasil, voltado a atender crianças e, adolescentes em situação de vulnerabilidade social
Salientando, que a Casa de Hip-Hop Centro, é responsável pela preservação e, culto a memória da Cultura Hip-Hop, já reconhecida nacionalmente como patrimônio material e, imaterial pelo IBRAN.
Rap Combate arises through an embryonic project created at the Casa de Hip-Hop Centro, in the central region of the City of São Paulo, in Brazil, in 2012 (Two thousand and twelve), called “Rap Combate!” which is the first RAP and JIU-JITSU educational project in Brazil, aimed at serving children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability
Emphasizing that the Casa de Hip-Hop Centro is responsible for preserving and worshiping the memory of Hip-Hop Culture, already recognized nationally as material and intangible heritage by IBRAN.
PROJETO COISA DE PRETO
O Movimento Coisa de Preto é um projeto idealizado por Claudinho de Oliveira que celebra a cultura afro-brasileira por meio da música, dança, teatro, cinema, literatura e outras expressões artísticas. O evento acontece simultaneamente em várias cidades do Brasil e promove o protagonismo preto como força de resistência, arte e identidade.
Coisa de Preto Movement is a project created by Claudinho de Oliveira to celebrate Afro-Brazilian culture through music, dance, theater, cinema, literature, and other artistic expressions. The event takes place simultaneously in several Brazilian cities, promoting Black protagonism as a force of resistance, art, and identity.
PROJETO MULHER ART
Mulher’Art é uma iniciativa dedicada ao fortalecimento do protagonismo feminino por meio da arte e da cultura. O projeto acolhe e impulsiona ações idealizadas por mulheres, com foco na valorização de suas vozes, saberes e trajetórias. Através da produção cultural, promove o enfrentamento ao preconceito estrutural e à violência de gênero, reconhecendo a arte como ferramenta de transformação social.
Porque a cultura é mais forte quando é feita por mulheres.
Mulher’Art is an initiative dedicated to strengthening female leadership through art and culture. The project supports and promotes actions led by women, focusing on the recognition of their voices, knowledge, and life paths. Through cultural production, it confronts structural prejudice and gender-based violence, recognizing art as a powerful tool for social transformation.
Because culture is stronger when it’s made by women.
